A little bit about me….

I’m actually a second career nurse and an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant(IBCLC). For 15 years prior to starting my nursing career I was a story producer for television. As a story producer my main goal was to tell a compelling story through solid research and in-depth interviews. Working with patients is not that different! As a practitioner, I believe in evidence based practice, thorough assessments, and addressing patients’ concerns without judgement. As the mother of 3, I understand what it’s like to navigate through unsolicited advice about babies and child rearing to find a solution that works best for you and your family. I approach my patients with an open mind, no set agenda, and an ability to develop a plan that meets the needs of both baby and mom.

Public health and Education are also an important part of my practice and I enjoy teaching them abroad as well as at home. I have travelled abroad with various medical missions where I have performed cervical cancer screenings, taught breast exams, done lactation consulting and taught infant CPR to local midwives. Here at home I am an ASHI certified Emergency responder Instructor and I teach CPR to new parents. I invite you to check out my classes on CPR and newborn parenting for helpful advice to get you through your new adventure. Welcome!

“…knowledge, kindness & humor…”

“Back in the day, we ladies had sisters, aunts, and cousins advising us on how to do the breastfeeding thing. We need to learn how to do it. Elisabeth was there to help me build my confidence and ability to breastfeed in stride in a relaxed, non-judgemental way. She is full of knowledge, kindness, and humor. And trust me, you need that combination as a sleep-deprived, hormone-ridden new mama. Highly, highly recommend.”
